how long has this scheme been in place?

I have only just read about the business rate relief scheme and wondered how long it has been running and whether I can claim for previous years.

Hi Chris,

The Small Business Rate Relief Scheme has been in place since 2004.

Unfortunately you cannot claim for previous years that you have missed out on the relief.
